The LBH3 is a QUALITY fun but tough male hash running in Northern Thailand.

The GM is the Hare(s) of the day unless he relinquishes his rights to a better man or is too drunk to function.

Volunteer positions: The following positions are open to volunteers – On Sec, Hash Cash and Web Wanker. The positions are for 1 year and after that year will again be opened again to volunteers. Upon successful completion of a position the holder of the office will be given a special prize of either a very high quality liter of beer or a bottle of wine recognizing him for his accomplishments. If more than one person volunteers for the position, the hashers on hand that day will decide by a quick show of hands.

In case of any major business being proposed or changes being made, every hasher who has attended at least 5 hashes is entitled to vote. Voting on major issues shall be done by email, conducted by the Web Wanker and On Sec. In cases of minor business those in attendance during the day of the hash shall make the decision in an open vote.

Frequency: The hash shall run on a date that is decided [perhaps around long weekends/public holidays] at the preceding run by majority consensus and the volunteering Hare. In time the aim is to run monthly, but the emphasis is on QUALITY over QUANTITY, the goal to be: memorable, special runs in Northern Thailand. [Initially this may mean runs every 2 or 3 months so that we can encourage guys from around Thailand & beyond to make the effort attending worthwhile]. Runs: at least ¼ shall be in the Chiang Mai vicinity, ¼ in the Chiang Rai vicinity and the remaining ½ to be outstations/decided by consensus at previous run.

Target Pack size up to 40

Target run time; 120 to 150 minutes to include water stops at reasonable intervals dependent on the difficulty of the run. Injured or lazy runners choosing to bail at any of the stops may do so at risk to their own arse.

Cost not to exceed 700 Baht unless approved beforehand by the majority of expected runners. Run fee includes snack, softs/beer, a decent meal after the run and possible transport.

Hash shirts will be made once, or at most twice, a year. Hash shirts will be awarded (free) to those who have attended at least 5 hashes and hared at least once otherwise they will be for sale for cost plus 100 Baht and then rounded up or down to full 100’s or 50’s.

Founding members will pay a higher run fee and receive a Moh Hom jacket which must be worn in the circle. The jacket will be embroidered with the runners’ name. All future members who have been accepted into LMH3 via a vote by existing LMH3 members after successfully completing their full virgin run will be required to buy a members Moh Hom jacket for cost plus 100 Baht and then rounded up or down to full 100’s or 50’s.

Hare’s Responsibilities

Find an appropriate venue – i.e. northern Thailand. If possible relatively close to accommodation.
A-B-A OR A-B-C (-D – etc) up to the hares. Live hare also an option.
Tell Web Wanker the location and directions at least 2 weeks in advance.
Arrange transport as required – as an example for all A-B-C runs or if the run is to leave from a city center. If a bus or songthaew is needed, the cost of such transport shall be deducted from the proceeds of that day’s hash. No discount shall be given for hashers who drive themselves.
Arrange reasonable quality food after the hash – either a buffet on site or at a local restaurant.
Arrange snack and beer/water/softies etc during the hash.
A location where post run recreational activities are available & encouraged.

Hare’s Rights

The hare shall not pay at a hash he has set. If a co-hare has assisted significantly he will not pay provided there are more than 20 runners.
Hare has the right to choose the beer and snacks he prefers and may pay a premium for convenience (ie, Macro may be cheaper but the local shop saves him an hour of time.)
Hare will be reimbursed for all reasonable run related costs.
After setting his 5th hash, the hare will achieve immortality in the LMH3 and be given a special T-shirt acknowledging this accomplishment.

Left-over beer or snacks will be inventoried quickly by the hash cash and will be placed into storage for the next hare.
Invitations: This is an invitational hash – only founding members or members with 5 runs may invite a prospective Virgin/member to a run.

Hazing: hazing is appropriate for virgins or members who invite others, however hashers are always free to turn down alcohol, splash requests or any other request they feel uncomfortable with. The purpose of the hash is to HAVE FUN - NOT to BELITTLE OTHERS for your own satisfaction.

Accounts – money accounts and inventory of beer will be kept on a Google spreadsheet with the link given to all LMH3 members in order to promote transparency. If the balance in the account exceeds 10,000 baht, the hash the following month will be subsidised and will continue as such in order to keep the balance within a 20,000 baht limit.

Web Wanker – Website will be main information source – hare line & run directions. There will be no hard copy Hash Trash. The website will maintain links with other hashes as voted on by LMH3 members.

Sponsors – if any organization or hasher foolish enough to give us alcohol or money, we will happily print their name on T-shirts. Sponsors contributions will be recorded.

Props/Circle ‘Awards’ – Hares and/or members may introduce these at their own cost/peril. Over time these will build up organically and should be amusing and LMH3 pertinent.

Run/Hare Awards - The LBH3 will award those runners achieving 10+ LMH3 runs or setting 5 runs.

Hashing is an inherently stupid and occasionally dangerous pastime, but some people won’t take responsibility for their own decisions. To protect our flabby asses from these selfish jerks the Lanna Male Hash House Harrier Kennel has a simple premise:
You hash at your own risk. All hospital and funeral expenses are your responsibility. If you get hurt, piss off, and don’t annoy anyone.
